Where does the video license allow playback?
The Clinic license allows its reproduction in the dental clinic designated in the contract and the Web via streaming in the web domain indicated by the client.
Can I upload the videos to the Internet to video platforms, social networks or other channels?
No, the license does not allow the use of the videos in this type of platforms or their dissemination in any of its modalities.
How can I use the videos in my clinic's social networks?
By having a Web license you can use the Vimeo links provided on the following social networks:
Linkedin, Instagram, Facebook and Twitter.
What is streaming to a web domain?
The purchased videos will be played only on your website. Each video will be associated to the client's web domain by means of a unique and non-transferable code.
What kind of security and fluidity does our system provide?
Because we use Vimeo Pro's servers, videos open quickly and do not slow down the loading of your web page regardless of the number of users connected at that moment.
Can I use the videos somewhere other than my clinic?
Yes, if you have purchased the DentalPlay Clinic option you can use them in any video player for your conferences, lectures, courses, etc. It is not allowed to upload the videos to any internet broadcasting channel.
How to embed videos on my website?
We will send you a document containing the URLs for each video so you can embed them in your website content or HTML code. These URLs initiate the streaming request from the client’s website; Vimeo authorizes the request made from the registered domain and plays the video on that domain. The Vimeo channel is private and hidden from the public, so if you enter the URL into a browser, Vimeo will display a message stating that the page does not exist.
There are two ways to add these URLs:
Include the URLs in the page content if it is a CMS.
Include the URLs in a video iframe within the HTML code.
This technical information will be sent in greater detail to the website’s IT manager.
Dentool, HIPAA and the HITECH Act
HIPAA regulations require covered entities (defined in the Rules) to enter into agreements with business associates to ensure that PHI is adequately protected. This agreement is called a Business Associate Agreement. Among other things, a Business Associate Agreement sets forth the permitted and
required uses and disclosures of PHI by the business associate based on the relationship between the parties and the activities or
services performed by the business associate. To help our clients comply with HIPAA when using the
Dentool application, Smilez Simon S.L. will enter into business associate agreements with its covered entity and clients
business associates.
There is currently no Department of Health and Human Services approved certification standard for
demonstrating a business associate's compliance with HIPAA or the HITECH Act. However, Smilez Simon S.L.
enables customers to comply with HIPAA and the HITECH Act and adheres to the requirements of the
HIPAA Security Rule as a business associate. In addition, Smilez Simon S.L. enters into business associate agreements with its
covered entity and business associate customers to support its compliance with HIPAA obligations.
When a covered entity engages the services of a cloud service provider, such as Dentool, the cloud service provider would be a business associate under HIPAA. In addition, when a business associate outsources to a cloud service provider to create, receive, maintain or transmit PHI, the cloud service provider also becomes a business associate.
