First Visit to the Dentist. Ref.: 55
This video shows the process of a first visit to the dentist.
First of all, the patient is given a questionnaire with information about his or her affiliation and background to rule out possible diseases or allergies.
Next, the patient will be accompanied to the dentist's office, where the doctor will perform a thorough oral examination.
The extraoral examination includes visual analysis of possible anomalies or deformities, palpation of the head and neck lymph nodes and exploration of the temporomandibular joint.
In the intraoral examination the soft parts (lips, mucous membranes, gums and tongue) and the hard parts which are the teeth and bone are explored. This may require the use of oral lesion detection lamps, photographs, radiographs and CBCTs.
Once the data has been analyzed, the patient will be given an indicative budget.
