Zygomatic implants. Ref.: 71
The placement of zygomatic implants is an alternative to rehabilitate a mouth in which the bone available for the placement of conventional implants is insufficient and without resorting to bone grafts.
The treatment consists in the placement of 1 or 2 implants of a longer length than the conventional ones, which are anchored in the zygomatic bone or cheekbone.
These implants can be complemented with the placement of conventional implants if the available bone allows it.
Once the implants are placed, they can be restored with a fixed prosthesis, in the same way as if they were conventional implants.
