Transparent aligners in orthodontics. Ref.: 67
Orthodontic treatment with clear aligners is an option to correct the position of teeth in indicated cases.
First, an individualized orthodontic study is performed, which includes, among others, intraoral and extraoral photographs, x-rays and a digital scan of the patient's mouth.
The treatment plan is then planned using software, simulating the movements to be performed and visualizing the final position.
Subsequently, the different types of splints to be used are designed, which will be changed according to the orthodontist's indications.
These splints gradually move the teeth into the position planned at the beginning of the treatment.
